On the heels of Jo Anne Gagliano’s award for Distinguished Practitioner, EDR was also honored (twice!) at the annual ASLA NY Upstate Chapter awards reception for our work on the Mirbeau Inn & Spa. This unique project was recognized by our colleagues across the industry with the Honor Award for Excellence in Built Design, as well as the Golden Gnome award – our chapter’s version of the “people’s choice” award.
Mirbeau has long been a favorite here – one of those projects where the creativity of our landscape architects and the passion of our clients have truly created a world-class site. The landscape and architecture were designed to evoke the warmth and comfort of a French country estate, and the year-round color, texture, and character of our design evokes the tradition of the French Impressionists. The accommodations are strategically placed within the gardens and ponds, both of which are integrated into pedestrian trails and a carefully designed stormwater management system.
EDR would like to thank the NY Upstate Chapter of ASLA for this recognition, and to congratulate Rob Seeley, Joe Falco, Cort Read, and Jo Anne Gagliano for their work on the Mirbeau Inn & Spa!
