EDR is seeking a versatile, team-oriented Environmental Monitor to join our Environmental Services group, willing to work on project-based assignments in New York State and New York City. Qualified individuals will have at least 2 years of experience in construction monitoring, agricultural monitoring, and/or storm water inspections.
This position requires:
- Strong verbal communication, writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience observing and documenting state and federal environmental regulatory requirements on an active construction site.
- Minimum BS degree in environmental science, natural resources management, engineering, or related field, or 5-years of previous experience.
- Candidates are expected to be willing to travel due to the nature of the position.
Desired Experience:
- Environmental or Agricultural Monitors with previous experience serving on projects approved by the New York Public Service Commission or the Office of Renewable Energy Siting and Electric Transmission.
- Experience with agricultural operations, oversight of horizontal directional drilling, invasive species identification, and threatened and endangered species monitoring/identification.
- CPESC or NYSESCCP Holder.
The anticipated base pay range of $50,000-$75,000 per year is commensurate with experience. EDR reserves the right to pay outside of the target range based on an individual’s education, credentials, skill level and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity, geographic location, and business needs.
