Marketing Proposal Lead

EDR is seeking an experienced Marketing Proposal Lead to orchestrate the firm’s marketing initiatives, sales management, new business development, and customer service endeavors. This role will be based in our Columbus, OH office with remote work options considered for qualified candidates.

This role demands a seasoned professional adept in client relations, market research, and advanced proposal preparation, possessing a profound grasp of current Architectural, Engineering and Construction (A/E/C) industry marketing trends.

Reporting to the Executive Manager of Communications & Marketing and collaborating closely with Principals, the Lead spearheads external relationship cultivation to convert opportunities into revenue streams for the firm. They will take charge of proposal development, ensuring proposals are compelling, client-centric, and aligned with EDR’s brand. They will manage proposal timelines and data to enhance quality and effectiveness.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Development, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Five-plus years of experience in business development, marketing, or related roles, ideally within the professional services industry.
  • Prior experience in one or more of EDR’s target market sectors is advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills Needed:

  • Familiarity with A/E/C industry terminology, marketing databases, and proposal management tools.
  • Proficiency in technical writing, editing, proofreading, and layout design.
  • Track record in developing and executing business development strategies and targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel locally and out of state, including attending evening meetings and overnight stays as necessary.
