Senior GIS Analyst

EDR is seeking a detail-oriented, quality-driven candidate for a Senior GIS Analyst based in our Syracuse, Rochester, or Albany, NY office. In this role, you will be a member of a specialized group of GIS professionals with deep subject matter expertise. This position will work closely with senior-level GIS staff on tasks related to GIS data organization and management, cartography (primarily report figure production), research, and analysis in support of a wide variety of permitting, planning, and land development projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum software proficiency requirements include ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Portal, and Microsoft Excel.
  • The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of GIS experience.
  • Experience with SQL for managing spatial GIS data and expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise Server deployment and administration.
  • A working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD, Global Mapper, Adobe InDesign, and GPS systems are also desired, but not required.
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
  • Capability to process, analyze, and interpret complex geospatial datasets to inform decision-making and meet permitting guidelines.
  • Highly adaptable to new technology and emerging trends
  • Exceptional data management skills, be efficient and deadline oriented, and enjoy working on diverse projects often with challenging deadlines.
  • Knowledge of permitting processes, regulatory guidelines, and compliance standards a plus.
  • GISP certification or desire to become certified will be considered a benefit to this position.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

The anticipated base pay range of $65,000-$80,000 per year is commensurate with experience. EDR reserves the right to pay outside of the target range based on an individual’s education, credentials, skill level and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity, geographic location, and business needs.
