EDR to Assist in Solution for Town of Provincetown Coastal Flood Risks

EDR has joined a collaborative team to help the Town of Provincetown address its significant coastal flood risks.

This initiative follows a competitive RFQ in response to increasing storm impacts—especially in winter—that have caused widespread damage to public and private properties. Provincetown’s low-lying topography makes it especially vulnerable to rising sea levels and severe weather events.

The team, including EDR, SCAPE Landscape Architecture DPC, and Woods Hole Group, will identify and prioritize immediate, near-term, mid-term, and long-term solutions to reduce flood risks through 2070 and beyond. EDR will focus on engineering strategies to protect critical public infrastructure, such as stormwater, potable water, and wastewater systems.

We’re excited to contribute to Provincetown’s efforts in building a resilient future!
