Brandywine Corridor Brownfield Opportunity Area

Broome County, NY

Before merging with EDR, Elan was part of a project team that collaborated with Broome County to redevelop the community’s Brownfield sites in the Brandywine Corridor. This project encompasses a 240-acre area.

The redevelopment plan builds upon the existing infrastructure framework to revitalize commercial sectors. These improvements will support new real estate development and enhance local economic activity.

Furthermore, the plan includes a comprehensive analysis of current conditions. It examines economic trends and market opportunities, assessing the reuse potential for properties within the proposed Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) boundary. Importantly, the project emphasizes identifying priority Brownfield sites. These sites serve as crucial catalysts for revitalization efforts in the community.
