EDR provided a visual assessment conducted as part of a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Environmental Assessment for the North Carolina Wind Energy Area. Commissioned by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and ICF, EDR’s visual assessment included identification of visually sensitive sites (e.g., historic sites), field photography, and the production of daytime and nighttime photo simulations demonstrating the potential visibility and visual impact of offshore meteorological towers. This project also included the production of time-lapse videos showing the towers visual impact over an 18-hour period.
