Revolution Wind is a proposed 704-megawatt offshore wind energy project that will be a major contributor to Rhode Island and Connecticut meeting their ambitious renewable energy goals. The project is a joint venture of Orsted and Eversource located approximately 15 miles south of the Rhode Island coast, 32 miles southeast of the Connecticut coast and 12 miles southwest of Martha’s Vineyard.
As part of the permitting consultant team, EDR is preparing a a visual impact assessment (VIA) and historic resources visual effects analysis (HRVEA). EDR’s analyses will support the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s (BOEM’s) review of the project required under the National Environmental Policy Act and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. We are also supporting the project team with public engagement and stakeholder outreach.
