EDR Opens Midwest Office in Columbus, OH

In 2021, EDR announced the grand opening of their Midwest office in downtown Columbus. EDR began providing environmental permitting services for renewable energy in Ohio in the mid-2010s. EDR’s Columbus office was established by former senior staff from the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) and the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO). The Midwest Team focuses on OPSB permitting efforts for wind, solar, and electrical transmission projects, including preparing environmental studies such as visual impact assessments, planting/screening plans, socioeconomic evaluations, glare assessments, vegetation management plans, and cultural resource studies.
